A longtime resident of Big Spring, I was elected to the City Council by the voters of District 1 and began serving my first term on November 17, 2020.  I have almost twenty years of expertise in executive leadership, strategic planning, program management, sales and marketing, and organizational transformations. I currently serve as a Healthcare Administrator.

I have an extensive history of service in the community and civic organizations.  I have held leadership volunteer roles in the past as the Treasurer for the United Way of Big Spring and Howard County, Big Spring Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassador, a member of the Greater Big Spring Rotary Club, and a volunteer for CASA of West Texas.  My involvement in various organizations and leadership experience allows me to gauge the pulse of City of Big Spring and prosper while keeping a balanced budget.  I’m working with you and for you to make Big Spring a model of excellence.

My mission for a better and vibrant Big Spring will be:

  • Infrastructure plan for District 1, including priority needs for worn/damaged streets, broken, unsafe road surfaces, broken playground equipment, improved road barriers. Plan for future road upgrades and build an infrastructure and maintenance priority list for District 1.

  • Recruitment and retention for our firefighters, law enforcement and all first responders. Work with the mayor, city council and city officials to come up with a practical solution so that they are staff appropriately to ensure they have the resources necessary for their safety and for the citizens of Big Spring.

  • Property taxes. Continue working to keep our taxes low and affordable so that our citizens would not have to worry about being taxed out of their homes.

  • Getting the citizens input and public involvement in our local government. I would like to see town hall meetings within my district so that the constituents are actively involved and given the opportunity to voice their concerns, issues, and ideas to their city representative.
