    Learn how to write code to create apps, games, and websites. Space is limited. Please call to sign up or come by the library. Parental permission required to use computers. Ages 8 to 17.

  3. HCYD Food Truck Rally and Community Event

    August 3, 2019, 6:00 PM - 10:00 PM @ Heart of the City Park Pavilion - Downtown Big Spring

    A food truck rally and community event sponsored in part by the Howard County Young Democrats. There will be a professional face painter, live music (Keeping Harvey Company), a dunking booth to “Dunk a Democrat”, and more. We are downtown at the Heart of the City Pavilion across from Allan’s Furniture. (Parking will be down second street) We have a few spaces still available for charitable organizations to educate the about what your organization does and to raise funds for your cause. We are also open to vendors. For more information, please call 432-466-5277. We will be accepting school supply donations that we will give to the SMMC to be held on August 8th.

  4. Stargazing at the State Park

    August 3, 2019, 8:30 PM @ Big Spring State Park

    Annual STARGAZING PARTY AT BIG SPRING STATE PARK AT SUNSET (COME AT 8:40 PM, or earlier - for best parking spots). There will be ten to twelve telescopes set up at the State Park Pavilion to educate both the young & old about astronomy. Come on out for a fun outdoor educational opportunity for the entire family! There are no fees for this event, but donations to support this event will be accepted and are greatly appreciated. More info on what we’ll be looking at in the heavens…later.
