The movie “Texas Rhapsody” will have its West Texas premiere at the Big Spring Municipal Auditorium on March 14 at 7 p.m., at 310 E. 3rd St. Admission is free and no ticket is required.
This screening is being presented as a “thank you” to the community for being a part of the production. The movie, which was partially filmed in Big Spring, is inviting all people in the city and surrounding areas to attend.
Key members of the cast and crew will be present and the author and creative force behind the film, Sam Pfiester, will also be on hand to talk about his passion for the project. There will also be a Question-and-Answer session with the production team and actors at the end of the 90-minute film. The movie is not yet rated but falls under the guidelines of a PG rating.
Based on a true story, the movie chronicles several peoples’ quest for the American Dream. Big Spring plays a key role in these interwoven stories. Scenes were filmed at the historic nearly 100-year-old Big Spring Municipal Auditorium with the Big Spring Symphony Orchestra as well as other well-known parts of the town. Some local talent also had roles in the film and served as extras.
