The Big Spring Police Department is currently accepting applications for the position of Certified and Police Officer.   Entry level testing will take place on May 2, 2017, at 9 a.m.  The application deadline is 5 p.m. on Wednesday, April 26, 2017.  Interested persons must submit a completed application and the required documentation by the posted deadline in order to be eligible for testing.

**Entry level testing for certified officers is scheduled on an as needed basis. Certified officers are strongly encouraged to apply at anytime.

Application Packet
The Police Officer Application Packet can be obtained at the City of Big Spring Human Resources office located at 310 Nolan Street, Big Spring, Texas, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Applications (PDF) can also be downloaded online.

Completed application packets must be submitted in person or by mail to the City of Big Spring Human Resources Office. We cannot accept email or fax copies of applications for employment. Completed applications must be filed with the Human Resources Office. Interested individuals must submit an application packet by the posted deadline in order to be eligible to test on that date.
